Candle Care & Safety

Please read before burning your candle for the first time.

Before you light it

  • Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn.
  • Remove any packaging, stickers, or decorative elements.
  • Place on a heat-resistant, flat surface, away from drafts, curtains, and anything flammable.

While it's burning

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • For the first burn especially, let the wax melt evenly across the full surface (about 1–2 hours) to prevent tunneling.
  • Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.

Shaped & decorative candles

Flower-shaped and other decorative candles are hand-shaped and may burn a little differently than a standard jar candle as the petals or details melt down. This is normal — burn on a plate or heat-safe dish to catch any dripping wax.

When to stop

Stop burning a candle once about ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom, to avoid overheating the container or surface underneath.

Wax melts

Use only in a proper wax warmer with a tea light or low-heat electric element — never place wax melts directly on an open flame. Allow the warmer to cool completely before touching or cleaning it.
